At the 2008 Holiday Party, members who had each belonged to the club for more than 30 years, gathered to share their reminiscences. They recalled how things were once done, including experiencing surprise garden 'inspections' before joining, bringing your own bagged lunches to meetings and GCA meetings where 'casual dress' meant designer outfits and gloves.
