CLASS 1 SYRINGA (LILACS):(not to exceed 24”from lip of container to tip of branch)
1a. Flowering shrub, one stem
1b. Flowering tree, one stem

CLASS2 PAEONIA (PEONY):(not to exceed 18” from lip of container to tip of branch)
2a. Herbaceous, one flowering stem
2b. Suffruticosa (tree), one flowering stem
2c. Other, one flowering stem

CLASS 3 RHODODENDRON (includingAZALEA):One flowering branch (not to exceed 18” from lip of container to tip of branch)
3a. Deciduous Azalea, one flowering branch
3b. Evergreen Azalea, one flowering branch
3c. Rhododendron – one truss (stem) Note: Truss should be shown half in bloom and half in bud with one set of leaves entirely surrounding the bottom of the bloom.


CLASS 4. OTHER BRANCHES (not to exceed 24” from lip of container to tip of branch)
4a. Flowering Shrub, one stem
4b. Flowering Tree, one stem

CLASS 5. PERENNIALS:
5a. One stem grown primarily for foliage
5b. One flowering stem

CLASS 6. NATIVE PLANTS GROWN IN NJ:
6a. One flowering tree branch (not to exceed 24” length from lip of container to tip of branch)
6b. One branch of a flowering shrub (not to exceed 24” length from lip of container to tip of branch)
6c. Perennial; one flowering stem
6d. Perennial; one stem grown primarily for foliage

CLASS 7. BULBS, CORMS, RHIZOMES, TUBERS
7a. Single flowering stem
7b. Collection of 3 to 5 different stems from different varieties or cultivars, all flowering.
To be judged 70% horticultural merit, 20% artistic, 10% nomenclature.
(Examples of corms, rhizomes and tubers include Crocus, Arisaemas (Jack in the Pulpit), Bearded Iris, Anemones or Lily of the Valley)

CLASS 8. ROSES– one stem or spray (not to exceed 18” from lip of container to tip of branch); must be shown
with two sets of leaves. Single stemmed roses should be shown with side buds removed (disbudded).

CLASS 9. PAR An exhibit of outstanding horticultural merit which does not qualify for entry elsewhere in the
horticulture division . Each exhibit is judged against perfection. Minimum ownership of six months is
required.
